Finedale Foods Achieves AA+ BRCGS Food Safety Accreditation

UK Food Manufacturer Awarded Highest Possible BRCGS Grade Following Unannounced Audit
We are proud to announce that Finedale Foods has been awarded an AA* grading following an unannounced audit against the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety, the highest level of certification achievable under the scheme.
The audit, carried out in February 2026, saw Finedale Foods pass with no non-conformances raised – a result that upgrades the site’s existing top-tier AA grading to AA*, reserved for facilities that achieve the highest standard during a fully unannounced inspection.
What the AA* BRCGS Rating Means for Finedale Foods
Finedale Foods MD Edward Miles said: “This AA* rating is a real credit to everyone at Finedale Foods. For our staff, it’s recognition that the standards they maintain every single day, not just when we know an auditor is coming, are genuinely industry-leading. For our customers, it means even greater confidence and reassurance that the products we manufacture on their behalf meet the highest possible food safety standards. And for the business, it strengthens our position as a trusted, reliable contract manufacturing partner in an increasingly demanding sector.”
About the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety
The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety has been the industry benchmark for more than 25 years and is now adopted by over 22,000 sites across 130 countries. Unlike a standard announced audit, an unannounced inspection gives auditors no advance notice of their visit, meaning the site must demonstrate that its food safety standards are maintained consistently, rather than prepared for in advance.
