Production Supervisor

Overview of the role

Lead the team in achieving all goals and targets, with a key focus on health and safety, product quality, product safety, efficiency, and support of team members.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritize workload in production, manage staffing levels in accordance with the production plan and organize workflow and staffing levels across production whilst liaising with other department supervisors.

• Co-ordinate the supply of materials from Low Risk and Warehouse

• Perform inventory cycle counts and help investigate discrepancies

• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback and implement necessary corrective actions

• Trouble shoot and address daily issues as they occur

• Escalate any production issues to the Operations Manager or Technical department, where necessary

• Identify training needs for production staff, train and mentor team on best practices, safety procedures and company policies

• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and company policies

• Ensure the department is motivated to achieve the highest standards

• Implement and maintain high levels of housekeeping standards

• Work with maintenance team to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and functioning

• Coordinate with other departments, such as Technical, Engineering and Supply chain to ensure smooth operations

• Respond to non-conformance corrective and preventative action (customer complaints, process failure)

• Track production performance and identify areas for improvement

• Ensure daily paperwork in each area is completed as per required standard
